Hund

Hello, and welcome to my corner of the purist web!

I’m Hund, an analogue native user from Sweden. I consider myself to be a slow-tech philosopher, outdoor adventurer and a computer geek.

My username, Hund, is the Swedish word for dog. The website address (hunden…), means “the dog”. It’s also a farfetched pun: “Hund+en”. Get it? No? Well.. The country code for the English language, is “en”. Also. The address hund.linuxkompis.se was already taken by my Swedish website.

I used to be a major computer and tech geek, who used to spend an unhealthy amount of time with my computers. I have since then, downsized to only one computer and one monitor, and purposely spend as little time as possible with my computer these days. Partly to be as productive as possible, and partly because I don’t want to be addicted or reliant of any tech at all.

I’ve been a Linux user, almost exclusively, since the day I got my first computer. I used Windows for about a year or so, before switching to Linux in 2006. I started out with Ubuntu, then switched to Arch Linux for a few years, before finally switching over to Gentoo in 2016.
